What does our name, Humbleworks, stand for?

HumbleWorks has a dual meaning in that being humble make us more personal and accessible to the community that we wish to serve and the range of products we create, i.e., our work and products are humble by nature as we strive for a clean and minimalistic design.

 

Why do we only use wood for manufacturing our products?

Wood is warm, natural and it is far more sustainable than metal or most polymers.

 

Why Humbleworks’s products may have some imperfections?

We celebrate natural materials like wood. For this reason, sometimes our products might have some imperfections as any other natural and non-maniulated materials. Also, wood is warm and it’s slightly imperfect characteristics resonates with our brand, as opposed to piece that are mass-produced from plastic, metals or glass.

Our products are designed to last. All our products pass a very strict quality control regarding materials and functionality, with special attention to every detail, including the selection of our materials

 

Where are our standing desks and laptop stands produced?

All our pieces are designed in London and manufactured just a few miles outside the city.

 

What’s the fabrication process of our standing desks and laptop stands?

As we strive to source everything locally, we work with a simple process that includes rapid prototyping and CNC cutting with local manufacturers.

Why does my STAN1 and STAN1.5 need adjusting cables?

The standing desk uses a cantilever mechanism allowing it to offer such incredible load bearing along the whole structure so you can place your screen or laptop with full confidence.

Steel suspension cables and pins balance the hourglass form of the stand and contrast beautifully with the organic wood frame.

 

How to adjust my desk and screen?

Correct desk height and computer screen position are fundamental for improving comfort and minimising injury risk in the office. To begin, set the keyboard shelf at elbow height; your elbows should create a 90-degree angle.


As a guide, the average 5’11” (180 cm) person would plce the keyboard shelf at a 44 inches (111 cm) high. Recommendations for screen position are not black or white, but the consensus is to place it 20–28 inches (51–71 cm) from your face.

Make sure that the screen is exactly at your eye level in order to avoid tilting your head down.


As a quick reference, the distance should be no less than the distance between the tip of your middle finger and your elbow. The idea is that you should never need to tilt your neck up or down.

 

Warranty

Do the Humbleworks products have a warranty?

Our mission is to fully satisfy our customers throughout all their journey with us. Humbleworks warrant the product against defects in workmanship for a period of 3 years from the date when the product was originally purchased.  If a defect arises and a valid claim is received by Humbleworks within the warranty period, Humbleworks will make efforts to repair the product or exchange it for a new one depending the situation.

Shipping

To which countries do we ship our products to?

We ship to all corners of the world (shipping prices and times, as well ascustoms may levy charges or duties in certain countries).

 

After purchasing, how long does it take to receive my new standing desk?

Once you place your order, your new Humbleworks standing desk or laptop stand will take 7-10 working days to arrive to your door! We know you’d love to track your Humbleworks product’s journey, so as soon as we despatch it we will send you the tracking number.

 

Which countries are catalogued as free shipping options (only when purchasing standing desk)?

We offer free shipping to UK, rest of Europe, USA and Canada.

Refunds and Returns

Want to return your purchased item and get a refund?

If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, you can return your item/s within 14 days of delivery, for a full refund of the original payment. Once we have received the product(s) and if appropriate, any packaging, a refund will be credited to the payment card or account you paid with within two weeks.

Please note that return-shipping fees must be bore by you.

Is our online payment secure ?

We use SSL security certificate with strong encryption. So, don’t worry about it, we’ve got your back!

How can I pay my order ?

The payment can be done by :

Are taxes included?

Displayed prices of all products include taxes (VAT) for purchases made in Europe. If the order has to go through customs, additional charges might be generated depending on the country of destination, in which case these charges will be paid by the customer.

Can I request an invoice?

Care

How do I care for my Humbleworks standing desk?

– Sciffs, scratches, marks or blemishes:

If wiping away with a dry cloth doesn’t help, a fine grain sandpaper should do the trick.

– Spilled coffee:

The standing desk collection is made from natural plywoodand could stain if you spill coffee or dark liquids over them. In the event you do spill liquids over your standing desk; remove all excess liquid immediately and try step 1., i.e., a light sand.

– To prevent any staining, apply a protective clear varnish.
